Submissions

The editors are currently soliciting articles written by researchers, practitioners, policy makers, graduate students, and others interested in promoting scholarly dialogue about effective educational partnerships making a positive impact on student learning, teacher and administrator working conditions, the preparation of teachers or other educational leaders, and the policies and practices influencing educational partnerships. We are especially interested in receiving submissions for forthcoming issues that include the following:

Research articles: Qualitative and quantitative manuscripts presenting original research on practices or policies related to educational partnerships.

Promising practices: Original manuscripts presenting best practices or policies supporting those practices providing meaningful, thought-provoking discussions linked to underlying theories or theories-in-action that guided the development and enactment of the practices or policies. Preference will be given to rich descriptions offering insights to assist others who wish to adapt or replicate these practices.

Open forum: Current reviews of relevant topics, original book reviews, and publishable interviews with leading scholars, policy makers, or practitioners.

Scholars and groups of scholars in the following fields are invited to share their work.

Manuscripts are considered in multiple categories:

  • research
  • policy
  • essay and discussion
  • reports from the field, including descriptions of programs
  • book reviews

When submitting a manuscript, use the following guidelines:

1. Submitted manuscripts should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

2. All materials must be submitted as e-mail attachments in Rich Text Format or Microsoft Word to: educate@auburn.edu. Please include TPE Submission in the subject line.

4. For references, tables, figures, and text follow the style described in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, Fifth Edition.

5. In all quantitative studies, effect sizes must be reported and interpreted for significant and for non-significant results.

6. Manuscript length: normally 3,000 to 8,000 words. Somewhat longer manuscripts may be accepted under special conditions. Do not include page numbers, headers, footers, formatted text or endnotes. Any figures, tables, or diagrams must be in black and white.
